(Joplin, MO) – Connect2Culture (C2C) will host the final performance of its 2022–2023 Performance Season during a special two-day event on Friday, June 23 and Saturday, June 24. The season finale will include a flamenco dance/music workshop and a public performance from A’lante Flamenco in the Beshore Performance Hall at the Harry M. Cornell Arts & Entertainment Complex (212 West 7th Street, Joplin, MO 64801).
“We are so excited to celebrate the finale of our inaugural season in the Harry M. Cornell Arts & Entertainment Complex with this unique, cultural experience!” says Emily Frankoski, Executive Director of Connect2Culture (C2C). “A’lante Flamenco is an extremely talented and passionate dance troupe from Texas. Their workshop and performance will offer an in-depth look at this important Hispanic tradition. We’re bringing a little piece of Spain to Joplin!”
The following workshop and performance will be held in C2C’s home theatre, the Beshore Performance Hall, at the Harry M. Cornell Arts & Entertainment Complex.
Flamenco Music & Dance Workshop with A’lante Flamenco

Join Olivia Chacón + the dancers and musicians of A’lante Flamenco for an intro to flamenco music and dance workshop! No experience necessary.

A’lante Flamenco

Based out of Austin, Texas, A’lante Flamenco strives to present flamenco music and dance to audiences in a new and exciting way. Blending traditional and contemporary flamenco, the group produces popular flamenco shows as well as innovative, multimedia flamenco theatre works that address relevant social issues and surpass cultural and linguistic boundaries. With thundering footwork, chattering castanets, soaring vocals, and blazing guitars, it’s no wonder A’lante Flamenco continues to garner praise from audiences and critics alike!
