(Joplin, MO) – The Joplin Parks and Recreation Department is hosting their annual Turkey Shootout on Friday, November 18 at 6:00 pm at the Boys and Girls Club of Southwest Missouri’s Gymnasium, located at 317 Conmingo Avenue.
Children in kindergarten through eighth grade are invited to come and test their basketball skills with a free-throw contest. Children can compete to win a Thanksgiving turkey and/or gift cards to the event sponsor, Academy Sports & Outdoors.
This event is free, but registration is recommended by November 17.
