Thomas Jefferson Independent Day School (TJ) wishes to sincerely celebrate the 17 members of Thomas Jefferson Independent Day School’s Class of 2026 who received more than $6,500,000 in merit-based scholarship offers. Every member of the class gained admission to a four-year college or university, and 70% of the entire class’s estimated cost of college attendance will be covered through accepted scholarships. TJ’s Class of 2026 had an average weighted GPA of 4.09 and an average ACT score of 30 (compared to the current state and national average of 19.8 and 19.4, respectively, as reported by ACT.org)
TJ’s Director of College Counseling, Jon Emery, shared, “The success of the Class of 2026 wasn’t by chance. These students took full advantage of the world-class college prep curriculum at TJ, they embodied the school Honor Code, and they met every day with relentless grit. It’s been an honor and a privilege to work with this group!”
