(Joplin, MO) – Join the fun on Saturday, September 23 as the Empire Market, along with the Joplin Public Library, celebrates Hobbit Day and the birthdays of Bilbo and Frodo Baggins!
Here’s what you can expect:
- Hobbit House photo-op setup
- Lord of the Rings inspired story quote walk
- Crafts for kids and adults
- Hobbit-themed scavenger hunt
- Lots of special food and merchandise from market vendors
- Dream Theatre actors dressed as Lord of the Rings characters
Everyone is encouraged to dress up in their best hobbit (or other fantasy) clothes as if they’re attending an eleventy-first birthday part and be ready for some fun! The event will be held during normal market hours between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm and admission is free.
