The Independent Living Center to Host Nonprofit Coffee Networking Event on August 12

(Joplin, MO)The Independent Living Center (TILC) invites local nonprofits, businesses, and community members to attend its upcoming Nonprofit Coffee Connect on Wednesday, August 12, from 9:00 to 10:30 am. The informal networking event will take place at The Independent Living Center and is open to anyone interested in learning more about local services and community resources.

Following a successful event back in May, The Independent Living Center is continuing the series to build connections, encourage collaboration, and strengthen relationships among area organizations.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about the services offered by The Independent Living Center, which supports individuals with disabilities in living independently and fully participating in their communities. Services include advocacy, independent living skills training, information and referral, peer support, and transition services.

This month’s event will also feature a nonprofit spotlight on Hearts and Hammers, a community-based organization whose dedicated volunteers provide home repairs and accessibility improvements for homeowners with physical or financial limitations. Guests are encouraged to stop by their table to learn more about their mission and the impact of their work throughout the region.

The Nonprofit Coffee Connect is designed as a casual, drop-in event. Guests are welcome to stay for the entire session or stop in briefly to network and learn more about local resources.
