Connect2Culture’s Curtains Up Series Presents Schoolhouse Rock Live! on November 20

(Joplin, MO) – A pop culture phenomenon will return to the musical stage when the national touring production of Schoolhouse Rock Live! visits Joplin on Saturday, November 20, 2021, 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm at Joplin High School Performing Arts Center (2104 Indiana Ave, Joplin, MO  64804). This will be the first performance in Connect2Culture’s (C2C) 2021-2022 Curtains Up Series.

This high-energy, live performance from Childsplay of Tempe, Arizona brings the classic Saturday morning cartoons to life with imaginative image projections, audience engagement, and a rock’n’roll feel. Schoolhouse Rock Live! follows Tom, a young schoolteacher who dreads the first day of school. When he turns on a television to soothe his nerves, Tom is visited by three aspects of his personality, who remind him how fun learning can be!

Including beloved megahits like “Conjunction Junction” and “Just a Bill,” Schoolhouse Rock Live! is children’s theatre the entire family can enjoy – from parents to kids.

Schoolhouse Rock Live! is the perfect way to kick off our Curtains Up Series,” said Emily Frankoski, director of C2C. “C2C can’t wait to share this A+ performance with local children and their families!”

Schoolhouse Rock Live! is the first performance in Connect2Culture’s 2021-2022 Curtains Up Series. Upcoming performances in the series include: Dallas String Quartet: Electric Christmas (December 11, 2021), Charles McPherson: The Journey Home (February 19, 2022), The TEN Tenors: Love Is In The Air (February 26, 2022), and Las Cafeteras (April 2, 2022).
