(Joplin, MO) – Pro Musica invites you to join us in Joplin for our 2021-2022 season! This season, we are thrilled to return to live programming and gather together to enjoy the gift of beautiful music as a community.
First up, in December we will present The Opus 76 Quartet in collaboration with the Post Art Library. Opus 76 will perform a morning Bach-a-Bye Baby event with author and narrator Leia Barrett, sharing a new musical take on the tale of “Goldilocks and the Three Bears,” followed by an afternoon concert of Classical and contemporary quartet favorites.
In February, Pro Musica is excited to collaborate with a variety of Joplin arts and culture partners to present renowned jazz saxophonist Charles McPherson in a week of performance and education events, celebrating the jazzer’s return to his Joplin roots in his program entitled “The Journey Home.”
March brings a visit from the celebrated Morgenstern Trio. This German ensemble will perform a beautiful and exciting program of Romantic and Classical works for piano trio.
Finally, in April the highly-acclaimed Jasper and Jupiter Quartets will join forces to present an evening of glorious music for string octet!
