The Joplin Area Transportation Study Organization (JATSO) is seeking a 45-day public comment period for the update of its Title VI Plan. Federal regulations require Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPO’s) to update their Title VI Plan every three years.
The Title VI Plan is utilized to ensure JATSO operates its programs and services without regard to race, color, or national origin, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and to explain the process for submitting a Title VI complaint if you believe you have been discriminated against on the basis of race, color, sex, disability, age, income status, limited English proficiency, or national origin by JATSO.
JATSO’s proposed 2026 Title VI Plan update can be viewed on the JATSO website here.
The public comment period for this plan update began at 9:00 am on Monday, June 22 and concludes at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, August 5, 2026. Comments on the proposed Title VI Plan can be submitted to Robert Lolley by phone at 417-624-0820 extension 1514 or by e-mail at rlolley@joplinmo.org.
