Wildwood Senior Living to Host Seminar on Validation Therapy for Caregivers of Loved Ones with Dementia on June 25

Loving and caring for someone who is living with Alzheimer’s or other dementias can bring different challenges, especially with communication.  Join Wildwood Senior Living on Thursday, June 25 as they explore a different approach to communicating with those who are living with dementia: Validation Therapy.

Brittany Kinder, a Certified Dementia Care Practitioner with over ten years of experience supporting Wildwood residents living with dementia and Alzheimer’s will guide caregivers through Validation Therapy practices, how it can help loved ones with dementia, examples of this approach in practice, and how to use this beneficial technique that takes a compassionate approach by focusing on emotional truth over factual accuracy.

Special guest Elizabeth Thompson, the Senior Regional Director of Memory Care at Arrow Senior Living in St. Charles, Missouri, will also speak on Validation Therapy so that caregivers can better support and connect with their loved ones who live with dementia or Alzheimer’s.
