(Joplin, MO) – Franklin Technology Center is proud to announce its Annual Career & College Fair, scheduled for Thursday, March 5, 2026. This highly anticipated event will connect approximately 2,400 students from Franklin Technology Center and Joplin High School with more than 100 representatives from colleges, universities, career and technical schools, military branches, local businesses, and industry.
The Career & College Fair provides students with a powerful opportunity to explore postsecondary pathways and in-demand career options, all in one place. By engaging directly with industry professionals and academic advisors, students gain firsthand insight into workforce expectations, training requirements, and the steps necessary to succeed in their chosen fields.
College and university representatives will share detailed information about admissions processes, scholarships, academic programs, and majors. Industry and military partners will discuss career pathways, certifications, apprenticeships, and employment opportunities available both locally and nationally.
“This event reflects our commitment to preparing students for life beyond high school,” said Kaci Dorton, Director of Franklin Technology Center. “By bringing education and industry together under one roof, we are helping students make informed decisions about their futures while strengthening the workforce pipeline in our community.”
The fair supports the district’s focus on real-world learning, workforce development, and intentional career planning through the Career Academies model.
