The City of Joplin is pleased to announce that S. Indiana Avenue, next to Freeman Hospital East, is now open to traffic.
Crews are finishing routine checks of the new concrete to confirm it has properly hardened. This is a standard step in any road project and helps ensure a long-lasting, reliable surface. While this testing takes place, steel plates have been placed over the area so drivers can travel through safely.
These temporary plates are expected to be removed by the end of the day, once the concrete reaches its final strength.
The City appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation during this work.
