Give Thanks, Give Life: Community Blood Center of the Ozarks Thanks-for-Giving Event Offers Mystery Aldi Gift Cards for Donors

(Joplin, MO)This Thanksgiving season, the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks (CBCO), the only provider of blood, platelets, and plasma to patients at more than 40 hospitals across the region, invites donors to make a lifesaving impact at the annual Thanks-For-Giving donor center event on Wednesday, November 26, just ahead of the holiday weekend.

Donors who give blood at any CBCO donor center on November 26 will receive:

  • A mystery Aldi gift card valued at $10, $25 or $100
  • A limited-edition Kansas City Chiefs T-shirt
  • A chance to enter to win two tickets and a parking pass for the Kansas City Chiefs’ game on December 14, 2025, against the Los Angles Charges, valued at $585

Donation hours on Wednesday, November 26 are:

  • Joplin Donor Center (2318 E. 32nd Street) – 7:00 am to 1:00 pm
  • Thomson Donor Center (220 W. Plainview Road in Springfield) – 7:00 am to 1:00 pm
  • Bentonville Donor Center (1400 SE Walton Boulevard) – 7:00 am to 1:00 pm
  • Springdale Donor Center (3503 S. Thompson Street) – 7:00 am to 1:00 pm

All CBCO donor centers will be closed on Thursday, November 27, for Thanksgiving. Donor centers in Joplin, Springdale, and Bentonville will also be closed Friday, November 28, while the Springfield center will be open from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm for apheresis appointments only.

Many patients across the Ozarks will spend the holiday in hospitals, away from their loved ones. Blood donations during this time can help ensure a steady supply for those in critical need.
