(Joplin, MO) – The Region M Waste Management District is updating their plan for solid waste management, and they need assistance in identifying programs in place. Public comments and suggestions for improvements are crucial for this.
Therefore, Region M invites the community to a public meeting/open house on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at the Joplin Public Library (1901 E. 20th Street). During this public meeting/open house, Region M will identify recycling services available in Jasper County as well as composting facilities, HHW sites, landfills, transfer stations, and waste haulers. Maps with locations will be available for viewing.
