There will be a public meeting of the Joplin Area Transportation Study Organization (JATSO) Policy Board at 1:30 pm on Thursday, March 20, in the Joplin City Hall 5th Floor Study, 602 South Main Street, Joplin, Missouri.
Items to be discussed include a vote to approve TIP Amendment #15 adding Joplin trail and transit projects, a vote to approve the Participation Plan Update, a vote to approve the SS4A Safety Action Plan, and a presentation of the Origination & Destination Study update. The TIP is the short-range capital improvement program for the transportation system within the JATSO area. The TIP is a financially constrained four-year program outlining the most immediate implementation priorities for transportation projects. The Public Participation Plan outlines JATSO’s procedure for engaging the public in the transportation planning process.

This public notice, public involvement activities, and time established for public review and comments on the TIP and will satisfy the FTA Section 5307 Program of Projects requirements for the Metro Area Public Transit System (MAPS).
