Crowder College Theatre to Present ‘Night, Mother’ on December 6–8 with Special Panel on Suicide Awareness and Prevention

(Neosho, MO) – Crowder College Theatre invites the community to experience a powerful and thought-provoking production of Marsha Norman’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play, ‘Night, Mother. Performances will take place in the Elsie Plaster Community Center Theatre on the Crowder College campus in Neosho on Friday, December 6 and Saturday, December 7 at 7:00 pm and Sunday, December 8 at 2:00 m.

‘Night, Mother is a deeply emotional drama that explores themes of mental health, family dynamics, and the impact of suicide. The production features Meg Saffer, Neosho High School Speech & Debate Teacher and Coach, as Jessie, and Annie Smith, Crowder College Theatre Director, as Thelma.

In conjunction with the performance, Crowder College will host a special panel discussion on suicide awareness and prevention immediately following each performance. The panel will feature mental health professionals, suicide prevention advocates, and representatives from local support organizations. Audience members will have the opportunity to engage in a meaningful dialogue, gain valuable insights, and learn about available resources in the community.

General admission is $10, with discounts for students and seniors. Due to the sensitive nature of the content, the production is recommended for mature audiences.
