(Neosho, MO) – The iconic story of Mean Girls will hit the stage in the Elsie Plaster Auditorium October 23 to 25 in the form of a musical performed by Crowder College students, local high school students, and community members.

The musical production, by Tina Fey, Jeff Richmond and Nell Benjamin — based on the original Paramount Pictures film, will be proudly presented by the Theatre Division on Friday, October 23 and Saturday, October 24 at 7:00 pm nightly, with a final showing to be held on Sunday, October 25 at 2:00 pm. The Theatre’s production is directed by Theatre Director Annie Smith while Crowder College Music Instructor, Lucas Janes, will be directing all music aspects of the show.

For those unfamiliar with the show, a sheltered, young teen is thrown into the thrills of American high school after having been homeschooled in Africa. This is where she is introduced to the wildly vast cliques of her new school, which includes “The Plastics,” the
well-known, popular group of the school reigned by Regina. Will Regina stay the queen bee, or will Cady rise to the top? Join us to see how this story and the lessons learned for the better will unfold.

The auditorium is inside the Elsie Plaster Community Center at Crowder College, located at 601 Laclede Ave., Neosho, MO. To reserve tickets or request special accommodations, please email FineArtsAssistant@Crowder.edu or call 417.455.5678.
