Joplin Police Department to Host Community Pool Party at Schifferdecker Aquatic Center on June 10

The Joplin Police Department (JPD) is kicking off some early summer fun with free, family-friendly entertainment at one of Joplin’s most popular aquatic centers!

JPD will host its annual Community Pool Party on Wednesday, June 10, at Schifferdecker Aquatic Center (West 4th Street and Schifferdecker Avenue). The event runs from 4:00 to 6:00 pm and includes complimentary hot dogs and beverages, emergency vehicles on display, and free swimming and water activities.

The event is sponsored by the Children’s Haven of Southwest Missouri, The Salvation Army of Jasper and Newton County, The Alliance of Southwest Missouri, Project Kids, the Joplin Fire Department, and the Joplin Health Department. The party is one of the police department’s annual events to engage with community members and citizens. Bring the whole family to cool off, connect with officers, and enjoy a relaxed evening.
