University of Missouri Extension to Host Reimagining Your Workforce Event on June 3

Can’t find reliable workers? Missouri employers are rethinking how they hire. And the companies solving workforce shortages are not waiting for more applicants; they’re changing how they hire.

The University of Missouri Extension invites employers from across the region to gather on Wednesday, June 3 for Reimagining Your Workforce, a fast-paced workforce event focused on practical hiring strategies, new talent pipelines, and tools that help businesses reduce turnover and fill open positions.

Hosted at the Joplin Public Library and sponsored by Arvest Bank and Tomo Drug Testing, the event is designed employers, HR professionals, supervisors, and hiring managers looking for workforce solutions that work in today’s labor market.

Attendees will:

  • Hear from employers already using innovative hiring strategies
  • Learn ways to lower hiring risk and improve retention
  • Discover untapped talent pipelines
  • Explore employer supports including tax credits and Federal Bonding
  • Connect with workforce and community partners helping businesses hire smarter

“This is not another conversation about workforce challenges,” said Amy Patillo with University of Missouri Extension. “It is a practical event focused on solutions employers can use immediately.”
