(Joplin, MO) – Nominations for the 2024–2025 Golden Apple Awards are being accepted now through March 21, 2025, 5:00 pm CST. This is the 40th year for this popular program, which recognizes instructional excellence in Joplin’s public and private schools. The online nomination form is now live and can be filled out here. Paper nomination forms will also be distributed to local schools.
Awards are given in four categories: grades K–2, 3–5, 6–8, and 9–12. Nominated teachers are eligible to win if they are a certified classroom teacher who instructs students on a daily basis, if they are teaching during the 2024–2025 school year, and have not been a previous recipient of the award. Winners will be announced during a special awards ceremony on May 5, 2025.
There are many wonderful educators in Joplin, and they all deserve recognition for their hard work and dedication; please consider nominating a teacher for this special award!
