(Joplin, MO) – Applications for vendors and musicians for the 17th season of Third Thursday, downtown Joplin’s only recurring street festival, opened earlier this month and will continue on an ongoing monthly basis throughout the year.

Applications for food vendors, artisans, businesses, nonprofits, and musicians, as well as guidelines, can be found on Downtown Joplin Alliance’s website here. Applications for each month’s event are open until the first Monday of the month. March’s applications will close on March 4.

Third Thursday is Joplin’s premiere community cultural event. Every Third Thursday, March through October, thousands of people gather on main Street in downtown Joplin from 5:30 to 8:30 pm to enjoy local artisans, music, entertainment, and food.

Each month has different themes and vendors, and sponsors are encouraged to build activities around the themes. For the 2024 season, these themes are:

  • March 21: Go Green Downtown
  • April 18: Be a Hero
  • May 16: Route 66 Fest
  • June 20: You Belong Celebration
