Community Blood Center of the Ozarks’ September Call-Up Blood Drive Offers Free Springfield Cardinals Tickets

(Joplin, MO)Community Blood Center of the Ozarks (CBCO), the sole supplier of blood, platelets, and plasma to patients at 44 area healthcare facilities, invites Springfield Cardinals fans to donate during the September Call-Up Blood Drive. Take in one more Springfield Cardinals game at Hammons Field before the season ends, with free tickets from CBCO for donating blood.

Donation hours for the September Call-Up Blood Drive are 11:00 am to 6:00 pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and 8:00 am to 2:00 pm on Friday at CBCO’s Joplin Donor Center in the Northpark Mall, 101 N. Range Line Road.

All successful donors will receive two free tickets to the Springfield Cardinals game vs. Tulsa on September 8 or September 9, 2023. Donors will also receive two free admissions to the Dickerson Park Zoo and a zoo-themed T-Shirt.

“As we come out of the Labor Day holiday weekend, we are rallying our community baseball fans to help build back blood reserves for area patients who are counting on it,” CBCO Media Relations Representative Michelle Teter said. “Many of our summer donors that gave during our ‘Bleed Red’ event in the summer are now eligible again. This is the perfect time to come in, donate blood, save a life, and reap the benefits of one last trip to the ballpark in 2023.”
