Mercy Joplin’s chapter of Women With a Mission, a giving society within Mercy Health Foundation, raised more money in the previous fundraising year than any other chapter in the Mercy system, including St. Louis, northwest Arkansas, and Springfield.
A record-setting $113,275 will be allocated to various departments for health care equipment and technology at a ceremony on Tuesday, June 13 at 11:00 am in the Mercy Hospital Joplin Conferences Rooms One and Two
Striving to continue the legacy of founding Sister of Mercy, Catherine McAuley, Women With a Mission giving society combines resources, vision, and a passion for helping others to support and improve health care in its communities. Examples of the projects that funds are being allocated for include:
- Mako orthopedic surgical robot
- SAVI Scout breast cancer tumor radar localization device
- New hospital beds at Mercy Hospital Columbus
- Ultrasound disinfectant system and lab freezer at Mercy Hospital Carthage.
