(Joplin, MO) – The City of Joplin’s Historic Preservation Committee reminds area historic preservationists about the unique opportunity offered this year when the Missouri Preservation Conference returns to Joplin for 2023. The 24th annual conference is Missouri Preservation’s largest educational opportunity for those interested in historic preservation.
Set for Wednesday, June 7 through Friday, June 9, the conference brings together architects, developers, preservation specialists, members of historic preservation commissions, preservation tradespeople, and more from across the region, offering networking and educational opportunities. Many sessions are approved for AIA Continuing Education Credits and general certificates of completion for your professional portfolio are available for all sessions.
Keynote speaker Stacy Grinsfelder will share The Importance of Telling Your Story. Grinsfelder is the host of the podcast True Tales from Old Houses and owner of BlakeHillHouse.com.
Online registration closes May 19, with early bird discount closing after Friday, May 12.Registration includes access to educational session and tours, as well as snack/refreshment breaks in the morning and afternoon. It also includes the Opening Reception on Wednesday evening.
