Take Back The Night Awareness Event
Tuesday, April 11 @ 6:00 pm | Missouri Southern State University’s Criminal Justice Auditorium
Lafayette House is partnering with Missouri Southern State University (MSSU) and Kansas City University (KCU) for Take Back The Night – A Sexual Assault Awareness Event. The community is invited to take part in this event.
Community Sexual Assault Review Team
Wednesday, April 12 @ 12:00 pm | Route 66 Event Center in Webb City
Join Lafayette House, Freeman Health System, and Mercy for the Community Sexual Assault Response Team’s meeting. They will educate the public and spread awareness of the collaboration between community organizations who help support sexual assault survivors. This event is open to all community members.
Lafayette House at Third Thursday
Thursday, April 20 | Main Street in downtown Joplin
Lafayette House will be hosting a booth at April’s Third Thursday to spread awareness about sexual assault. The community will be invited to paint their handprints to show support for survivors.
Denim Day
Wednesday, April 26 | Everywhere!
On Denim Day, individuals around the country wear denim to take a stand against victim blaming and the misconceptions that surround sexual assault.
