Missouri Advanced Power Announces Winners of Energy Research Poster Competition

 

(Joplin, MO) – The Missouri Center for Advanced Power Systems Research (MOCAP) Summit was held at Missouri Southern State University (MSSU) on March 7, 2023. Members of universities and organizations from around Missouri attended, including MSSU, Missouri University of Science and Technology, Missouri State University, University of Missouri, Æsir Technologies, Spear Power Systems, EnerSys, and EaglePicher Technologies.

The Summit was a way to connect industry partners with universities to find qualified students in the energy sector and to generate ideas for collaboration on research. Fourteen graduate and undergraduate students presented posters on their research in energy-related fields. First, second, and third place prizes were awarded to both the graduate and undergraduate divisions. Nikhila Paranamana won First Place in the graduate division and Jacob King won First Place in the undergraduate division. Rejeena Jha and Mahya Mehregan were awarded Second and Third place in the graduate division. Katrina Brathwaite and Ana Ladino won Second and Third place in the undergraduate division.  Congratulations to all the winners.
