All ages are welcome! This art show coincides with JPL’s premier community read program, Joplin Reads Together. The title they have selected is Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt. Lost and found is among the book’s themes and motifs, which is why we chose it for the theme of this exhibition.

  • Saturday April 29 @ 10:30 am | Ozarks Photography and Book Signing with LaDonna Greiner – Do you love the Ozarks? What about wilderness survival stories? LaDonna photographs landscapes, vintage buildings, and backroads. She is the author of I’m Here for a Purpose, which details her outdoor adventures of trekking and kayaking in search of the best photos. From the bayous of Mississippi to the Ozark hills and hollers, her book tells of alligator encounters, lost trails, and – if you can imagine it – surviving a night on the highest point in Missouri during thunderstorms. LaDonna will have copies of her book, as well as prints of her photography, available for purchase at the book signing event on Saturday, April 29th at 10:30 am in the Library’s Genealogy, Local History, and Post Reading Room wing. On Facebook.
