(Joplin, MO) – Tickets are now on sale for the Mom & Son Date Night hosted by the Joplin Parks and Recreation Department. This year’s event will be held on Friday, September 23 and Saturday, September 24 at the Joplin History and Mineral Museum.
“We are excited to bring this program back and hope that it becomes a tradition again for families in the area” said Jessica Johnson, Recreation Coordinator.
This year’s glow-themed event includes dinner, dessert, dancing, digital photo download, an egg toss game, and prizes. The dance is targeted for those three to 12 years old, so the prizes and games are geared to that age range. Although the event is traditionally for mothers and sons, another parent/adult chaperone is welcome to accompany the child.
This is a limited seating event and pre-registration is required. Friday will feature one session from 6:30–9:00 pm and Saturday will feature one session 5:30–8:00 pm. Tickets are $40 per couple, $20 for each additional son, and registration is available online at joplinparks.org, at the Joplin Parks and Recreation office at 3301 West 1st Street, or by calling 417.625.4750. Tickets are valid for the session purchased only.
