(Neosho, MO) – Crowder College’s softball and baseball programs posted big wins on Saturday, May 14, further advancing their seasons.
The 53-8 softball team captured the Midwest District Championship in two games, winning 6-0 and 7-6 (eight innings) to earn their title. They will now advance to the Division I National Championship Tournament in Yuma, Arizona, which will be held on May 24 through 28. Everyone is invited to help send off the Roughrider Softball team with an official send-off to the tournament on Thursday, May 19. The 50-10 Crowder baseball team captured the Region 16 tournament. After losing 11-12 to Jefferson, the Roughriders took game two at 7-1. The Roughriders are currently ranked fifth in the NJCAA Division I Baseball. They will now advance to the South Central District Tournament in New Orleans, Louisiana on May 20 to 22. They will play against the Oklahoma and Louisiana region champions.
