(Joplin, MO) – Wildcat Glades Friends Group, along with other partners, will be hosting a hands-on preschool connections program, kids and adult yoga, a bird count, and a seasonal hike.
Feed the Birds

Cardinals, chickadees, and gold finches. All of these birds and many more love to visit your feeders all winter long! We will read a story, sing a song, and make some treats for our feathered friends in this free class for preschoolers.
Yoga in Nature for Adults
December 11 | 8:30 to 9:30 am | For ages 16+ | $10 to attend
Led by Amanda, a registered yoga teacher, this class is designed to incorporate elements of nature, breathing, and yoga poses. Bring your yoga mat or a towel and a reusable water bottle. This is a great opportunity to stretch out and stay loose while enjoying our wonderful park.

Audubon Bird Count

Join us for a partnership event with the local Audubon Chapter to help us count winter birds. Birding inventories are important and enjoyed by nature lovers across the world. Bring a pair of binoculars, a notepad, and a field guide, if you have one!
Ugly Sweater Hike
December 18 | 2:00 to 4:00 pm | Free, guided hike for all ages | Wildcat Glades Education Cottage
Join Wildcat Glades education staff for a guided hike on our 3.65 mile trail. Bring your best ugly sweater and your hiking boots for a fun winter hike! This hike will be dependent on weather conditions as well as snow and trail conditions.

First Day Hike
January 1 | Free, guided hike for all ages
Start the year off right with a hike along the beautiful Wildcat Glades Trail. Be the first to finish the loop or take your time to enjoy the wildlife, and amazing views along the trail. Please bring a reusable water bottle, wear weather appropriate clothing, and sturdy shoes.
