Freeman Welcomes Covers for a Cause

Show Me the Ozarks Fundraiser Benefits Hope 4 You Breast Cancer Foundation

(Joplin, MO) – Freeman Health System will host the 11th Annual Covers for a Cause event. Partnering with Show Me the Ozarks Magazine, the event offers people the chance to be pictured on their own magazine cover through a photo shoot while raising funds to fight breast cancer and raise awareness.

Show Me The Ozarks is dedicated to supporting women battling breast cancer and those who may be at risk,” said Lee Radcliff, Show Me The Ozarks Magazine Editor and Publisher. “That’s why we are so proud to host Covers for a Cause for the 11th year in row. Each year, we host this fun event to benefit the Hope 4 You Breast Cancer Foundation, which provides free mammograms for women in need. We’re honored to partner with Freeman to continue to support Hope 4 You’s extremely important mission.”

Show Me will roll out the pink carpet at Freeman Hospital West in front of the gift gallery from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm Thursday, September 30.

Family, friends or co-worker groups can come wearing their own pink or take advantage of the provided props, including hats, boas and crowns, to show their support of breast cancer patients and the search for a cure. For $15 per print, participants take home their own cover ready for framing. Special edition t-shirts, hats and tote bags will be available for purchase at the event.

Freeman will also sell breast cancer awareness t-shirts, and have complimentary cookies, water, and other giveaways. Freeman will also sell raffle tickets for a fuchsia Dooney & Bourke purse to be given away at the end of October.
