EastTown Dreams District Presents Joplin Regional Black Expo to Be Hosted in June 2021

(Joplin, MO) – EastTown Dreams District is excited to host the first Joplin Regional Black Expo 2021! We take this opportunity to extend a warm invitation and welcome you to join us as a participant in this event.

The mission of this event is to promote economic development through increased exposure for small businesses, to give them the opportunity to showcase their products and services to the public, and to include procurement officers from major companies. It is also an opportunity for small businesses to become subcontractors. The goals of the event are as follows:

  • Highlighting small businesses from all industries in and around the Joplin area.
  • Connecting them with procurement opportunities in the private and public sectors.
  • Sharing resources to educate, enlighten, and empower a community of entrepreneurship.

We want to promote awareness of small businesses located in Joplin and the surrounding area. We intend to bring together underutilized entrepreneurs, primarily people of color, and give all the opportunity to share their professional skills and expertise with the community.

The event will take place on June 19, 2021 at Joplin Empire Market, 931 E. 4th Street. It will be a come-and-go event and the theme is Jackets & Jeans. Exhibitors should expect to arrive at 3:00 pm to set up their booths. Vendor hours will run from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm (Jackets) and from 9:00 pm to 11:00 pm (Jeans). Activities will be indoors and outdoors, weather permitting, and are expected to draw an estimated 250 attendees.

If you are interested in exhibiting, please complete your registration form and send it and your $50.00 participation fee no later than March 31, 2021. Please mail your form and payment to Doris Lewis, 202 S. Woodmont Drive, Joplin, Missouri or email your form to dorislewis47@yahoo.com.
