The Joplin Little Theatre’s (JLT) Board of Directors is finalizing the procedures to put together a very exciting season for 2021 to 2022.
After being shut down for a year, we are ready to get back in action.
Season membership will be available beginning June 1, 2021.
An Evening with Langston Hughes
An Evening with Langston Hughes on February 20 was attended by a small but very appreciative audience due to social distancing. The Langston Hughes Cultural Society brought an evening of pure pleasure. There are sure to be future collaborations with this local group.
Opening Position for Office Manager
Cecie Fritz, the current JLT office manager, will be retiring soon. The position of Office Manager is open and JLT is looking for applicants who are interested in theatre. This is the perfect spot for someone who is retired or for anyone who is looking for part-time work!
The position requires 20 hours a week with some extended hours during show time. Computer knowledge is required to handle the online reservation system. Please call the JLT office at 417.623.3638, leave your name and number, and your call will be returned.
During the recent below-zero weather, JLT suffered a broken pope in the kitchen, resulting in several inches of water in the kitchen, President’s Room, and about half of the lobby. Fortunately, there was no permanent damage and repairs are being made for upcoming activities.
The JLT office is not open for regular hours. Mail and messages are checked periodically. If needed, please call us, leave your name and number, and your call will be returned.
