(St. Louis, MO) – The Missouri Partnership announced on January 6 that Janelle Higgins has been promoted to Vice President, Marketing and Communications.
In this role, Higgins will expand Missouri Partnership’s video and visual strategy, increase public relations efforts, and continue marketing and promoting Missouri globally.
“I have been so thrilled to have Janelle be part of our team,” Subash Alias, CEO of Missouri Partnership, said. “She has made her mark in all three of our key program areas since joining our organization. Her new and expanded role on the Marketing team will enable her to tell the Missouri story even louder.”
“Janelle has been an incredible asset to Missouri for years, and this new and expanded role will only increase her positive impact on the state,” Mark Sutherland, CMO of Missouri Partnership, said. “Her skill sets, her vision and her commitment to our great state all come together in a way that allows us to present Missouri as a top destination for business investment globally.”
Higgins joined Missouri Partnership in 2014. She has worked extensively on business recruitment projects, as well as in business development. Most recently, she served as the Director of Marketing and Communications.
“It is an honor to work alongside my colleagues and economic developers across the state to highlight Missouri’s business strengths,” Higgins said. “Our line of work has always been rewarding, and it is even more meaningful now as we continue to navigate through the pandemic. Playing a small role in bringing new jobs and investment to the state is truly gratifying.”
Prior to her role at Missouri Partnership, Higgins spent a number of years working in television news in various cities. She was a reporter and anchor at WJFW in Rhinelander, Wisconsin; a producer at KOLR-10 in Springfield, Missouri; and a host and producer at STL-TV in St. Louis, Missouri. She graduated from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville with a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications.
