(Joplin, MO) – Freeman Health System is proud to be a recipient of a $5,000 Arvest Foundation award designed to support local organizations doing outstanding work to improve the quality of life in the communities we serve. A check presentation was held Thursday, September 24 at Freeman Hospital West.
“We are grateful that Arvest recognizes what is at the heart of the Freeman Health System mission,” says Paula Baker, Freeman Health System President and Chief Executive Officer. “Our mission is to improve the health of the communities we serve through contemporary, innovative, quality healthcare solutions.”
“Now more than ever, access to vital medical services is critical to our Joplin region and surrounding communities,” said Chad Evans, president of Arvest Bank. “On behalf of the Arvest Foundation, we are pleased to award $5,000 to provide direct support of emerging projects, such as updates to medical equipment, supplies, the new Learning Center facility, and other needs identified throughout Freeman Health Systems.”
Arvest Foundation donations are based on recommendations from local Arvest Bank Leadership.
“This is just one way Arvest supports nonprofit organizations in the community and is part of our goal to enhance the quality of life in the communities we serve,” says Evans. “We understand that being a community bank means being part of the community. It is a responsibility we take seriously. Arvest associates also give of both their time and resources. Each year, they donate countess hours of their time in community service work.”
Arvest has been a strong and consistent supporter of Freeman Health System for the past twenty years.
Freeman was founded on generous donations 95 years ago, and this gift from Arvest will help the health system continue providing first-class healthcare close to home. Freeman believes it is important for people to have convenient access to vital healthcare services without driving great distances to larger metropolitan areas, like Kansas City or St. Louis. This gift from Arvest will help the health system continue bringing lifesaving technologies and life-changing therapies to the people of the four-state region.
