(Joplin, MO) – Jasper County CASA swore in seven more community members on May 13, 2021 to be Court Appointed Special Advocates. They join a community of about 75 “CASAs” who advocate for children’s best interests in court and help ensure that children find safe, permanent homes in a timely manner. The new volunteers completed the 30-hour curriculum and will soon begin advocating for a child in foster care in Jasper County.
You can join these volunteers and make a difference for a child in foster care. CASA will start their next training class in June for any community member who has a passion for helping children, is over 21, can pass a background check, and has eight hours a month to spend advocating for a child in need.
