(Joplin, MO) – Job-a-Palooza is coming to Joplin on Wednesday, April 28 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm at Northpark Mall.
This is an incredible one-day event that will be promoted on the AMI Radio Group stations and NEXSTAR’s local stations, KODE-TV and KSNF-TV, through a partnership with Southwest Missouri Job Centers. Job seekers from all over the four-state area are being asked to apply online, then show up for possible interviews.
Job-a-Palooza will be spread from the main entrance of the mall, stretching north to the former Sears location. There are sponsorships and 34 booths still available, but they are only available on a first come, first served basis.
All COVID-19 safety policies set forth by the Northpark Mall and the City of Joplin will be in place. Attendees will be asked to social distance, wear a mask whenever possible, and wash hands often while at the event. Sanitizing stations will also be set up throughout the mall.
Additionally, we are asking that exhibitors avoid distributing giveaways except for hand sanitizer or masks with company logos. This means that stress balls, key chains, flashlights, and any other non-essential giveaway items will not be allowed. This is the area’s first large-scale, in-person job fair since the beginning of the pandemic, and we want to do it safely.
This event will happen again in the fall and will receive plenty of media attention.
