The Independent Living Center (TILC) invites the community to its annual Trunk or Treat on October 29 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm for an evening of Halloween fun, family-friendly activities, and an opportunity to learn more about the services available to people with disabilities throughout the community.
Families are welcome to enjoy an evening filled with decorated trunks, plenty of candy, hot dogs, snacks, and festive refreshments. This year’s event will also feature an exciting new attraction: a walk-through haunted house! Guests are invited to test their courage and see if they can make it through this spooky new addition.
Beyond the Halloween festivities, Trunk-or-Treat offers families an opportunity to connect with The Independent Living Center and learn more about its mission and services. TILC supports people with disabilities in living independently, making their own choices, and remaining active in their communities. Community events like Trunk-or-Treat provide a welcoming setting for families to meet staff, ask questions, and discover resources that may benefit them or someone they know.
Whether families come for the candy, the food, the haunted house, or simply a chance to enjoy the Halloween season together, TILC welcomes everyone to join in the fun.
The Independent Living Center’s annual Trunk or Treat will take place October 29 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at 2639 E. 34th Street in Joplin. The event is free and open to the public.
