Over 11% of the US population has diabetes. Susan Pittman, RD, LD, CDE, will discuss how Diabetes Education and Care Specialists teach people with diabetes how it affects their personal lives and work with them to set (and meet) behavior change goals to improve their health.
Pittman will also touch on the seven self-care behaviors that form the framework for diabetes care and education specialists to partner with people with diabetes, prediabetes and cardiometabolic conditions to support informed decision making.
Freeman Diabetes Education Clinic has met vigorous criteria set by the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services and is an American Diabetes Association recognized program.
