Donors receive a free premium car wash, beach towel and chances to win a year of free car washes and a $10,000 dream vacation
(Joplin, MO) – Summer is one of the most challenging seasons for the community blood supply. While vacations, travel and changing routines often lead to fewer blood donations, hospital demand for blood frequently increases. To help meet this critical need, Community Blood Center of the Ozarks (CBCO) and Tsunami Express Car Wash are partnering to encourage lifesaving blood donations by offering exclusive rewards to volunteer donors.
From August 10 through August 23, donors who give blood at the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks donor centers in Joplin and Springfield will receive a voucher for a Tsunami Express Car Wash T2 with Graphene Wash, a $25 value. Donors will also be automatically entered to win a one-year Tsunami Express Car Wash membership valued at nearly $450.
The special two-week promotion is part of CBCO’s August donor rewards campaign. In addition to the complimentary car wash, donors will receive a premium velour beach towel and can enter for a chance to win a $10,000 Dream Vacation Giveaway, thanks to Springfield KIA and The Resource Center. One lucky donor will win a $10,000 vacation to the destination of their choice.
“Summer consistently places an added strain on the local blood supply,” said Michelle Teter, Media Relations Representative for Community Blood Center of the Ozarks. “While many people are traveling or enjoying summer activities, hospital patients still depend on lifesaving blood transfusions every day. We are grateful to Tsunami Express Car Wash for partnering with us to recognize our generous donors and encourage others to roll up a sleeve. Every blood donation has the potential to save multiple lives and directly supports patients right here in the Ozarks.”
Blood donations collected by CBCO help provide lifesaving blood to patients at more than 40 hospitals throughout southwest Missouri, northwest Arkansas and southeast Kansas. Every donation helps ensure local hospitals have the blood products they need for trauma care, cancer treatment, surgeries, premature infants and other medical emergencies.
Appointments are strongly encouraged to help avoid wait times. To schedule an appointment or learn more, visit www.cbco.org/tsunami or call 417.227.5006.
