Connect2Culture Announces the Return of Two Annual Joplin Entertainment Staples: Liberty Celebration! and JOMO Jammin’ Music Festival

(Joplin, MO)Connect2Culture (C2C) announces the return of two annual Joplin entertainment staples that will take place outside on the Leggett & Platt Green at the Harry M. Cornell Arts & Entertainment Complex (212 West 7th Street, Joplin, MO 64801).

Please note that no outside food, drinks, or pets are permitted to either performance.

Liberty Celebration!

Saturday, June 27 | 8:00 pm (gates open at 7:00 pm) | Free and open to the public | Harry M. Cornell Arts & Entertainment Complex | Sponsored by Liberty

Liberty Celebration! is Connect2Culture’s annual patriotic performance on the last Saturday before the Fourth of July. Designed to ignite excitement and pride ahead of Independence Day, this event brings the community together through music, celebration, and a shared love for our country. Made possible by Liberty Utilities, this year’s event features the nationally touring Will Holiday’s GRAND OL’ AMERICANA SHOW, along with food trucks, lawn games, and a fireworks finale.

This event is free and open to the public. C2C lawn chairs will be available to rent for $5 (plus fees), and guests are welcome to bring their own lawn chairs.

JOMO Jammin’ Music Festival

Friday, July 24 and Saturday, July 25 | 7:00 pm (gates open at 6:00 pm) | Tickets: $10 per day (plus fees) or $15 for two-day passes (plus fees) | Harry M. Cornell Arts & Entertainment Complex | Sponsored by Freeman Health System

Connect2Culture’s JOMO Jammin’ Music Festival launched in 2021 to celebrate the incredible local and regional musical talent in our area. Now a vibrant two-day event, the festival features three bands each night and is designed to be fun and engaging for the entire community. In an effort to boost community involvement and excitement, most of the performing bands are selected by public vote, giving attendees a direct role in shaping the experience. JOMO Jammin’ brings people together for live music, connection, and local flavor in the heart of Joplin. The schedule is as follows:

Day One

  • 7:00 pm – Isaac Kenneth (Seymore, Missouri)
  • 8:00 pm – Covington Creek (Russellville, Arkansas)
  • 9:00 pm – Hunter Hathcoat (Ellington, Missouri)

Day Two

  • 7:00 – The Swallowtails (Kansas City, Missouri)
  • 8:00 pm – stepmom (Oklahoma City, Oklahoma)
  • 9:00 pm – The Hips (Springfield, Missouri)

C2C lawn chairs will be available to rent for $5 (plus fees), and guests are welcome to bring their own lawn chairs.
