Missouri Southern State University’s (MSSU) MOSO CAPS and NEWcaps programs are seeking volunteers to directly and positively impact students success by volunteering at the 4th Annual Interviews and Expectations Day on Wednesday, April 8, 2026.
Hosted at the MSSU campus from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm, this event features a morning and an afternoon session where volunteers conduct mock interviews with CAPS students. Each session will start with a 30-minute “employee expectations” panel for CAPS students followed by four rotations of 15-minute mock interviews.
Volunteers that select to participate for the entire day will be provided lunch and a two-hour break between sessions (10:30 am to 12:30 pm). This time is yours to network with other businesses, enjoy the beauty of MSSU’s campus, or check in with your employer/business.
Please note:
- There are more than 100 students across both CAPS programs who will be participating in the event.
- Students are part of the Business, Health Care, Human Services, and Teacher Education strands.
- Students will have a general resume to provide each interviewee.
- General interview questions will be provided; volunteers won’t need to create career-specific questions.
- Interviewers will be provided with a general interviewing rubric for each student’s mock interview.
- Interviewees will conduct four interviews per session with eight total, if attending both the morning and afternoon sessions.
Any and all support from industry partners is appreciated! Learn more and sign up to volunteer here.
