Community Support Services to Host Community Magician and Autistic Self-Advocate Cody Clark

(Joplin, MO) — In celebration of Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, Community Support Services of Missouri (CSS) will host a community performance featuring Cody Clark, an autistic self-advocate and magician. Clark will present his inspiring show, A Different Way of Thinking, on Friday, March 27, 2026, beginning at 6:00 pm at the Joplin South Middle School
Auditorium (900 East 50th Street, Joplin, MO 64804). This event is powered by Liberty.

Through a blend of magic, humor, and personal storytelling, Clark shares his lived experience as an autistic individual while encouraging audiences to embrace acceptance, inclusion, and new perspectives. The event will conclude with a Q&A session, giving attendees the opportunity to engage directly with Clark and learn more about his journey as a self-advocate.

The event is open to the community and appropriate for all ages. Tickets are just $5 per person, with children ages 5 and under admitted free. Tickets can be purchased online here.

“Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month is a time to celebrate the strengths, voices, and contributions of people with disabilities,” said Ryan Melton, CSS President and Chief Executive Officer. “This event reflects our mission to promote inclusion while providing meaningful opportunities for connection, learning, and community engagement.”
