The Lord Chamberlain’s Men in Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night
Friday, October 17 | 7:00 pm | Tickets: $25 – $40 | Harry M. Cornell Arts & Entertainment Complex | Leggett & Platt Green
Join The Lord Chamberlain’s Men, the UK’s premier all-male theatre company, as they present Shakespeare’s greatest romantic comedy, Twelfth Night. This vibrant production captures the spirit of Elizabethan performance, with an all-male cast, period costumes, music, and dance performed in the open air—just as audiences experienced in Shakespeare’s day.
Orsino, Duke of Illyria, is hopelessly in love with Countess Olivia. But Olivia, mourning her brother’s death, has sworn off men—until Viola, shipwrecked and disguised as a man, enters Orsino’s court. When Viola is sent to woo Olivia on Orsino’s behalf, she unexpectedly becomes the object of Olivia’s affections. As mistaken identities and romantic confusions multiply, chaos ensues in this hilarious and lyrical tale of love in all its wild, wondrous forms.
Founded in the tradition of Shakespeare’s original company, The Lord Chamberlain’s Men continues to honor their historic namesake with authentic, engaging productions. Now in their 21st year, they have performed in some of the UK’s most stunning and historically significant venues, including Windsor Castle, Chatsworth, and Norwich Cathedral, as well as across Europe and beyond. Touring allows them to share the magic of Shakespeare with audiences in communities far and wide.
This performance is part of the Curtains Up Series, which is made possible by Freeman Health System.

Hollywood & Broadway in Four Hands with Stephanie Trick & Paolo Alderighi
Saturday, October 25 | 4:00 pm | Tickets: $20 – $35 | Harry M. Cornell Arts & Entertainment Complex | Beshore Performance Hall
Pioneers in four-hands jazz piano, Stephanie Trick and Paolo Alderighi have won international acclaim for their imaginative arrangements, masterful technique, and irresistible charm. This dynamic duo has redefined the possibilities of two pianists sharing one instrument, blending stride piano, ragtime, and boogie-woogie traditions with the sophistication of the Swing Era and the timeless melodies of the Great American Songbook.
In Broadway and Hollywood in Four Hands, Trick and Alderighi present original arrangements of classic songs by Irving Berlin, George Gershwin, Richard Rodgers, Leonard Bernstein, and more. This sparkling program celebrates the golden age of American music, exploring the vital connection between jazz and the iconic soundtracks of Broadway and Hollywood musicals from the 1930s, ’40s, and ’50s. These beloved melodies, many of which became jazz standards, are brought to life with the duo’s signature blend of energy, elegance, and innovation.
Stephanie, a St. Louis native, is one of the world’s leading artists of stride piano, a technically demanding style once dominated by jazz legends like Fats Waller and James P. Johnson. Paolo, from Milan, Italy, is one of Europe’s foremost jazz pianists, renowned for his versatility and nuanced interpretations. The two met in 2008 at a piano festival in Switzerland and quickly discovered a shared musical vision. Soon after, they embarked on their groundbreaking four-hands piano collaboration, delighting audiences with a rare combination of virtuosity and playfulness.
Together, they have recorded six albums, including Two for One and Broadway and More, and have toured extensively across the United States, Europe, and Asia, performing at prestigious festivals and venues. Their concerts are a celebration of musical storytelling, combining dazzling technical skill with heartfelt expression. Whether evoking the glamour of Broadway or the magic of Hollywood, Trick and Alderighi invite audiences on a journey through the music that shaped generations.
This performance is part of the Cornell Series, which is made possible by Sharon and Lance Beshore.
