(Joplin, MO) – Internet provider Sparklight has launched “Connections That Give Back,” a charitable extension of its Refer-A-Friend program benefiting The Salvation Army of Jasper and Newton Counties, a nonprofit dedicated to fighting food insecurity for individuals and families.
Through the program, the referring customer and their friend will each receive a $50 prepaid card when the friend signs up for Sparklight internet and remains connected for 30 days. For every successful customer referral in Joplin, Sparklight will also donate $10 The Salvation Army of Jasper and Newton Counties, guaranteeing a minimum contribution of $1,500 to support the organization.
“Every referral does more than bring someone fast, reliable internet — it puts food on the table for a neighbor in need,” said Sam McGill, Director of Operations, North Central Region. “This program is about strengthening the bonds in our community. Our customers have the chance to stay connected, help a friend and make a real difference for families right here in Joplin.”
“Connections That Give Back” will run from September 8 to October 6. This initiative is part of Sparklight’s broader commitment to being a reliable neighbor and partner in the communities it serves.
