(Joplin, MO) – Downtown Joplin Alliance (DJA) and the Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce’s You Belong in Joplin work group will partner for the “You Belong Celebration” during Third Thursday on June 19, 2025! This exciting evening of live music and entertainment is all designed to bring folks together.
The evening’s events include:
- Live music from the Jason Kinney Band on The Mosswood Building Company stage at 6th and Main Street.
- Dancing, crafts, and cultural presentations from the Quapaw tribe.
- Line Dance Fest, featuring Boots on the Ground line dancers — presented by East Town Dreams District.
- Competitions for kids to create the strongest paper tower at the Schroeder Family Exploreum at 300 S. Main Street.
- Live performances from Andrew Pommert, Jess Douglas, Bayot, and Tough Luck Chuck on the 200 block stage.
- Patio and on-street dining.
- An Artisan market on the 500 block.
- A vintage car cruise on the 100 block.
- More than 140 vendors, including over 25 food and beverage options.
Lori Haun, executive director of DJA, states, “The You Belong Celebration is a great opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate the ways that we are different as well as the ways we are alike.”
Third Thursday is held from 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm on the third Thursday of each month from March through October. Thanks to our Third Thursday Title Sponsor, KSNF-TV/KODE-TV, for making the eighteenth Third Thursday season possible!
