If you like Christmas Trees, be sure to visit Mercy Park and the Joplin Parks and Recreation Department’s annual Holiday Tree Trail! This year’s Trail offers up to 100 trees, other holiday decorations, and surprises.
Wednesday, December 4 is the Opening Night for this unique tree display. Enjoy cookies from Casey’s, hot chocolate served by Joplin Rotary Clubs, hot rolls and peanuts from Texas Roadhouse, refreshments sponsored by the Ronald McDonald House of Joplin, and musical performances by Karen’s Dance Studio. Join the fun from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and be sure to stop and see Santa.
The Tree Trail is open every night until 10:00 pm; attendees are encouraged to vote for their favorite tree by scanning the QR code next to it through December 31. Winners receive gift cards from our event sponsor, Texas Roadhouse.
And no worries if you cannot get to Mercy Park during the evening hours. Although the trees will not be lit up, their themes will show, and patrons can also enjoy 30 creative sculptures along the trail. The Joplin Rotary Sculpture Garden makes a beautiful backdrop for these uniquely decorated trees. Come out and enjoy the holiday season at Mercy Park.
