Crowder College Theatre Department Presents ‘Bedtime Stories (As Told by Our Dad) (Who Messed Them Up)’ on June 21 and 22

(Neosho, MO) – Crowder College’s Theatre Department will present Bedtime Stories (As Told by Our Dad) (Who Messed Them Up), written by Ed Monk and directed by Annie Smith, on June 21 and 22 at 7:00 pm nightly and 2:00 pm for the Saturday matinee. Performances will be held in the Elsie Plaster Community Center on the Crowder College campus in Neosho.

This production focuses on a family whose dad has a favorite way to help his three rowdy kiddos go to bed: telling them bedtime stories. However, he tends to forget how the classic tales go, so he uses his imagination to keep the stories engaging. These bedtime stories sure aren’t the ones you grew up with!

This production offers a unique edge of cast members, as the group is made up of not only Crowder College and other local college students, but also area youth from second grade to high school freshman who attend local schools or who are homeschooled.

Cast and crew members include:

• Dad, played by Greyson Lamp, a Missouri Southern State University student who is studying ecology
• Wally, played by Simon Smith, a fourth-grade student at Monett Intermediate School
• Ashley, played by Holly Gribben, a third-grade homeschool student from Joplin
• Kate, played by Astrid Johnson, a second-grade student at Triway Elementary in Pierce City
• Prince 1 and Horace, played by Joe Deatherage, a third-grade student at McKinley Elementary in Joplin
• Princess 2 and Mayor, played by Zoe Deatherage, a fifth-grade student at McKinley Elementary in Joplin
• Prime Minister and Mayor, played by Atlas Johnson, a Crowder College student who is studying business administration
• Mindy, Mom, and Prince 2, played by Gracie Lawson, a ninth-grade student at Neosho High School
• The Sheep and the Poor Old Woman, played by Sequoia Sversvold, a third-grade student at Goodman Elementary

The stage manager is Tiffany Blevins and the Technical Director/Set Designer is Sara Sargent-Evergarden
