(Joplin, MO) – The TEN Tenors return to Joplin High School Performing Arts Center (2104 Indiana Ave, Joplin, MO 64804) on Saturday, February 26 at 7:00 pm to serenade audiences with some of music’s most enduring love songs during “Love Is In The Air.” This will be the fifth performance in Connect2Culture’s 2021-2022 Curtains Up Series.
An Australian ensemble made up of 10 powerhouse vocalists, The TEN Tenors (TTT) were formed in 1995 and, since then, have been expanding an ever-growing fanbase. With their unmistakable charm and incredible ten-part harmonies, TTT has won the hearts (and ears) of more than 90 million listeners – some of whom reside in the area.
“This will be the second time we have had the pleasure of bringing The TEN Tenors to Joplin,” says Emily Frankoski, Director of Connect2Culture (C2C). “In 2018, this group delivered a [holiday] show that left our audience clapping and cheering long after the final curtain. Everyone was floored by them.”
Needless to say, C2C eagerly welcomed the group back for a special encore performance, knowing their colorful repertoire and powerful arrangements would make any Valentine’s Day celebration swoon-worthy. But rest assured, this performance doesn’t just cater to lovebirds.
“Love Is In The Air,” Frankoski explains, is a celebration of love in all forms – platonic or romantic. “Whether you’re spending Valentine’s Day with a significant other or spouse, friends, or family members, this unique, unforgettable experience is a great way to show someone how much you care.”
The TEN Tenors’ “Love Is In The Air” will be the fifth performance in Connect2Culture’s annual Curtains Up Series. The final performance of the series is Las Cafeteras (April 2, 2022).
Tickets range between $40–$55 (plus applicable fees). To encourage a safer, more contactless experience, day-of sales will increase by $5. Discounts for students, seniors, active military/veterans, and groups are available. Tickets are sold exclusively at connect2culture.org, over the phone at 417.501.5550, or at the Joplin Empire Market on Saturday, February 19.
