(Neosho, MO) – Thanks to the recent opening of Ozark Center Neosho, Newton and McDonald County residents have never had so many behavioral health service options at their fingertips.

Located at 204 N. Lincoln Street near downtown Neosho, this adult and child outpatient facility recently underwent an extensive overhaul, expanding from 1,300 square feet to more than 7,000 square feet.

“This is really important to this community, because we are quadrupling the number of services provided right here for our residents,” said Vicky Mieseler, Senior Vice President and Chief Executive Officer at Freeman Health System’s Ozark Center.

During an open house held on August 21, more than 150 local and area residents toured the facility.

Services offered at the facility include:

  • Adult outpatient behavioral health services to adults including psychiatric assessments, therapy and group counseling, and medication management. Spravato® is also available for those with treatment-resistant depression. Psychiatric care is also available via telemedicine.
  • Psychiatric services, outpatient substance use disorder services and outpatient therapy are offered for children from birth to age 25. Ozark Center Neosho also features a family waiting area and a sensory area featuring soft colors, rocking chairs and headphones for noise minimalization.
  • The Community Care Program offers services and support for adults age 18 and older who have severe mental and/or substance use disorders, including peer support, case management, psychosocial rehabilitation, metabolic screenings, medication management, skills coaching, employment assistance and more.
