(Joplin, Mo.)Mercy Health Foundation hosted its annual Stick It to Cancer event on Saturday, June 6, at Downstream Casino Resort, delivering a “Nashville bash”-themed evening of inspiration, entertainment and generosity – all in support of local cancer care.

In its tenth year, Stick It to Cancer 2026 raised $456,000 thanks to the incredible support of the Joplin community, sponsors and donors.

The night began with a social hour, giving attendees time to connect before enjoying a delicious dinner provided by local restaurant partners. The program continued with both silent and live auctions featuring a wide variety of items and experiences, all contributing to the evening’s impressive fundraising total.

Dowe Quick of KOAM News, the event’s presenting media sponsor, served as emcee. The celebration concluded with live entertainment from The Dillon Leggett Band, keeping the dance floor full and the excitement going strong.

This milestone year was made possible thanks to the generous support of presenting sponsors:

  • TAMKO Building Products
  • Wes and Jan Houser
  • The Glauber Family in memory of Mary Lou Glauber

“Celebrating our tenth year of Stick It to Cancer makes this moment especially meaningful,” said Kim Shriver, Director of Development at Mercy Health Foundation. “The energy, generosity and spirit of everyone involved created an unforgettable evening. More importantly, it will make a lasting difference for cancer patients in the communities we serve.”

Proceeds from Stick It to Cancer directly benefit Mercy cancer services, helping provide advanced technology, equipment, program support and compassionate care to individuals and families facing cancer in the region.
